Monday 2nd March 09

Today was the day to start my work and organisation summative. I was very worried bout it at first cos i wasn't sure how much reading I needed to do and how long it was going to take me but I managed to get 1200 out of 1500 words done in a day! Yes thats right in a day!!! (Peter Kay stylee).

At 12.30 I had to go and meet my supervisor, which went ok, I wasn't in there too long so it didn't take up too much of my summative time.

When James finished uni he came to get me and we went to staples so I could see how much it was to print my dissertation and to get some highlighters. We then went to ASDA to get a birthday card for Jade but I ended up getting one for charlotte from mam and one for grandad too.

Mam has nicked the one I got for Jade to give to Charlotte lol.

We went to James house and watched dancing on ice with Julie and Laura, then Not going out and some of that dance thing for Comic Relief.

We then had tea with Martyn and went upstairs to watch the rest of corrie and Heroes. Was good!

Sunday 1st March 09

I had to get my findings and analysis chapter finished today for my meeting with my supervisor 2moro.

I started not long after breakfast and I worked all day til just after 6.

Although I did go to see Helen for bout an hour to give her her birthday present. We had a right good chat, was lovely to see her again.

James came round when he'd finished work and once I'd finished my chapter we went downstairs to help mam with the tea. We had a sunday dinner on a sunday!!!!!!!

After tea, we watched the rest of dancing on ice, then a thing called Pop goes the Band about 80's bands who have a makeover, and then we watched Lost. Very interesting episode.

Once Lost was finished I was so tired after the days work and I had a massive headache I curled up on the sofa with James and fell asleep for half an hour before he went home.

Saturday 28th Feb 09

Saturday is work. So boring.

I won't bore you with what went on, i'm sick of talking about it now.

James picked me up from work and we went back to mine so I could get changed. Once I was ready, we went straight to Thornaby cricket club for Julie's party.

It was a good night, we had a good laugh and I really enjoyed watching all the old people ballroom dance.

Friday 27th Feb 09

Today was another long day in uni, from 10 til 4 this time!

We had 2 lectures and a seminar in a row, which is very hard work!!!

In our HRM lecture the bulb blew on the projector creating mych hilarity in the class, Charlotte couldn't control her laughter, I pretended I didn't know her lol!!!

After our seminar, me, Charlotte and Stacey were followed by our seminar teacher lol. She was telling us stories about diversity and discipline issues, but just wanted our dinner. We then had to guide her out of the building cos she got couldn't find the way out lol.

After dinner, we all headed to a computer room to put the finishing touches to our presentation on the afternoon. I then tried to get on with some more of my findings and analysis chapter which is always hard to do at uni cos I'm so easily distracted by people to talk to lol.

Our presentation went quite well, we asked for feedback off Hayley and she sounded impressed so I feel quite happy bout that now.

James picked me up from uni and we went to Teesside park to buy some movies themed confetti from Hobbycraft.

We got home, I got changed and then we headed to James' house where I met Julie and Neal again and we waiting to go out for a meal.

We went to the Golden Lion in Osmotherley. There was me and James, Lynn and Martyn, Julie and Neal, Laura and Duncan, Julies sister Linda and Duncan's Mam.

Our starter was very lovely but both me and James were very disappointed with our main courses. It was getting late so me and James decided to leave cos we both have to be up early for work 2moro. :(

Thursday 26th Feb 09

Today, I was in uni all day, well from 10-3. lol.

Me, Charlotte and Stacey went to see our HRM seminar teacher for some help with our summative. She was very helpful and spent the whole hour with us, chatting, and giving advice.

After this, we went to the library as we had an hour wait til our lecture. I talked to James online and found some more articles for the summative.

We had a strategy lecture at 12, followed by our dinner and then a corporate responsibility lecture at 2.

I didn't get to see James today as Julie and Neal, friends from Canada, had just arrived to stay with them for a week. I was so sad that I didn't get to see him.

Wednesday 25th Feb 09

Today started with a very bad headache after too much sleep and I thought I wasn't gunna be able to get much work done. But I managed to get straight on with my Findings and Analysis chapter. I put some more graphs in and prepared some other data.

I had received a free bar of divine chocolate voucher from the BodyShop this morning so I wanted to go there and they had 20% off makeup so I thought I'd take advantage of this. I only wanted mascara but came away with about £36 worth of stuff. But it made me feel better lol. I also bought Helen a birthday present and a little pressie for James for our anniversary so a free bar of chocolate turned into over £40!!

After this I got back home and had a toastie in our new Toastabags that mam bought from Lakeland in the Lakes. Very nice!

I got back to work, but soon got bored off writing my chapter. So I decided to do some more reading for HRM, but only one or two articles. This one or two articles turned into 3 quite long ones and took me til 5.15 when tea was ready.

By this point James had turned up and I was very pleased to see him.

We had a lovely tea and then Dad and Bobbie went to the match, after me and James had been to grandma and grandads, to get some money for the Boro prog and to show them the photobooks I'd made for dad.

Jane then came round, while James had gone to drop his dad off to collect his car from work and to get some petrol. We chatted about Tesco and all that is good about it! lol, as usual.

The Boro match then started - woohoo! 2-0, could just feel a win coming on. At half time me and James made the pancakes that we'd missed on Tuesday and they were very nice.

Later on, before James went, I went upstairs to do my cellulite massage lol! Was very nice, hehe. Hopefully it will work.

Tuesday 24th Feb 09

This morning I had to make sure that I was up early to get Bobbie up for school with mam and dad being away.

At 10, i went into uni with Charlotte to meet Samaira and Stacey to go over our Work and Org presentation. We put all our slides together and went over everything. We then had to come up with a conclusion so that Stacey knows what to say. We got ourselves all confused over the question and then proceeded to moan about that, our dissertations and our 2 summatives. Its what us girls do best!

When I got home I decided that I should really get straight on with my work - so I did. Got something written for my findings and analysis chapter, although its not much, I feel better now, cos I've got a couple of tables and a plan for what I want to do next with it.

So I had a break after this and got myself a cuppa and a slice of mams lovely fruit loaf.

I then decided to have a look at some HRM stuff, which is what I am doing now.

Later on me and James are going to see Slumdog Millionaire at the arc with Charlotte and Carl. Looking forward to seeing what all the Oscars have been for.

Monday 23rd Feb 09

Today has not been brilliant. I haven't got that much done. I've prepared my qualitative data for analysis with my conceptual framework and I have made some notes on what I want to do in my Findings and Analysis chapter but I haven't actually written anything for it yet - mental block.

So instead I've been reading about reward management for my HRM summative - this chapter is taking me a long time to read.

In the meantime I have also been researching fancy dress costumes and me and James have made a breakthrough as to what we are going to go as to our joint 21st birthday party. I am going to go as Christine Daae and James as the Phantom of the Opera.

James is undecided whether to go as the traditional Phantom that everyone knows or as the red Phantom at the masquerade ball, that will go with what I want to wear.

But anyway at least we've made a decision.

Mam and dad are away tonight so think we'll be having a Wii night.

Sunday 22nd Feb 09

Today is Dad's birthday. We got up and had a cuppa and then went into the front room for dad to open his pressies.

Bobbie gave him his first - he'd got him some Dr Who Hankies and a Dave Gorman book.

Then it was mam's turn. He liked all his pressies off her. Then my turn - I'd bought him two photobooks from Photobox and he LOVED them. One was a collection of photos from our holiday in the Lakes and the Cotswolds last July and the other was a variety of pics from the last year including mam and dads 30th anniversary.

After this, we all got ready and planned to go out for brunch somewhere.

We set off in the car hoping to find somewhere but as usual we didn't. We went to Nature's World and I got two beads for my bracelet and necklace for £1.90!!!! I couldn't believe it they are sooo cute and a lot cheaper than the usual £10-£15 upover that you normally pay. I also got part of Charlotte's birthday pressie which I am v v pleased with, can't wait to give her it! And mam bought a bracelet for Jane's bday which is also v nice.


We ended up, after a lot of driving round, at the Fox Covert just outside of Yarm. We all had a roast beef and gravy sandwiches. It was really nice.

Dad is now watching the only James Bond that he hasn't seen - The Living Daylights and everyone else is somewhere else in the house lol.

Later on we are gunna have a bit of a tea party, with cakes and stuff lol!

Saturday 21st Feb 09

Saturday brought another boring day at work, although it started off eventful.

As mam took me to work, we saw an abandoned car at the railway crossing at Allen's West. We thought this was strange but as we got to Tesco there was some glass in the car park and a metal post on the floor.

When we pulled up to the front of the shop there was a chav in the foyer bit with the security guard and some other members of staff. As I walked in to tell one of the managers about the glass there were several other staff surrounding the doors.

What had happened was this chav had tried to knick a load of stuff from the shop, and the abandoned car was his accomplice. He had driven around the car park like a maniac and nearly ran someone over, but had managed to get away.

A little bit later the police arrived and arrested the chav and they then transferred him to the police van when that arrived. They took forever to get everything sorted and then next thing the helicopter was out looking for the other lad. Dunno whether they found him.

Following this was a generally uneventful day. Although, I did get to go home half an hour early cos they wanted to send me for a half an hour break at 5.40 when I left at 6.30 anyway. I refused and asked to get sent home early! Which worked!!! Hehe!

We then went to Neil and Sam's for Jerry's 7th birthday party. We played with balloons all night, then the kids joined in lol. We also played table football and Bobbie and James played table tennis...sitting down! Lazy buggers.

We left there just after half 10. I then stayed up and watched the Live at the Apollo with Lee Mack and Sean Locke, was v v funny. Much funnier than Dylan Moran the other night.

Then bedtime! Sleepies!!!

Friday 20th Feb 09

So last night was a major disappointment! (Dylan Moran comedian) Half an hour for the first half and about 35 minutes for the second. I couldn't even understand what he was saying some of the time, due to the fact that he mainly mumbles.

After the show we went for a drink at the Dickens Inn with Tish and her friend Emma, who we talked to about our paparazzi for the party.

This morning I had a lecture at 10 which was eventful as always - with our favourite lecturer for work and organisation! Then we moved next door to our HRM lecture on Collective Representation - sounds boring I know but it was surprisingly interesting. I don't know what I would have done without the notes that Charlotte printed out for me though - was very nice of her to do so!

Me, Charlotte, Stacey and Samaira went over to the Waterside for dinner and Tom was in there so we sat with him. We had a lovely discussion about mine and James' party and also Samaira's wedding - so looking forward to that!!!!!

Following dinner, we then headed back over to the Ebsworth building for a Dissertation writing up lecture. I didn't find out anything new really other than I should include a completed questionnaire in my appendices.

But Emily asked who would be marking our dissertations as our supervisor is leaving but the answer we got was "I don't know". This is worrying me slightly.

The rest of the afternoon is going to consist of sorting out what work I need to do and trying to get some done lol! I will try and get my notes done for my Work and Org presentation but I'm not sure whether I will have time.

Then tonight as I am not seeing James :( I will be spending the night with the family and hopefully going to see my grandma and grandad, who I haven't seen properly for a while even though they only live down the road! Oooopsy!

Tomorrow I am at work, so not much will happen there but we are going to a friends little boys birthday party on the night so that should be good.

Sunday is dads birthday so depending on the weather we will go out for a drive and maybe have some dinner out or even a brunch. We might be having a little tea party on the night. So no uni work will get done on Sunday.

Today I'm in uni. I've had a CR seminar in which me and Charlotte were together to do the last question. We answered it really well and he was dead enthusiatic about our answer.

After that we had a Strategy seminar. I didn't talk as much in this at all, in fact all i said was "St Michael logo on the labels"! lol.

Now we have an hour break before the Strategy lecture at 12 so just messing around on the computer until then and talking to James online too.

Later tonight, me and James are going to see Dylan Moran at M'boro town hall so will be exciting to see him.

Wednesday 18th Feb 09

Today I've been without my life line - my laptop - cos James had to take it to uni to be PAT tested for ExpoTees. It hasn't been as bad as I thought because I prepared for what I was going to do without it.

This morning I went out with Mam and Bobbie to get some pressies for dad's birthday - not very successful. Although I bought some tights to go with my new skirts and a card for Helen's birthday.

After that, we came home and had dinner. They all had beans on toast and I had chicken bites and onion rings - Bobbie wasn't very happy bout this so I had to give him one of my onion rings! Eesh!

I then got on with the uni work I'd prepared. I read through my seminar work for 2moro and then started to find references for my HRM summative. I did this on my old laptop which took an age to load. Yawn!

James arrived home from uni with a suprise for me - some turqoise blue tights and some purple long socks with purple ribbons on them. Sooo cute and sooo me! My tights will go perfectly with my new skirt.


Tonight me and Mam are going to our exercise class and then having burgers for tea, mmmm! Cooked by James.

I'm at uni 2moro from 9-3 and then going to see Dylan Moran on the night time at M'boro town hall - really looking forward to it.

Tuesday 17th Feb

So this morning I've been into uni to meet with Stacey, Charlotte and Samaira to try and figure out what to do for our Work and Organisation Summative.

We weren't sure what we were doing but we got a study room with a computer and proceeding to set out our slides.

We wrote notes on each of the sections based on the previous research we'd done and then decided who was going to talk about which section.

We finished at around 11, and I was getting a lift home with Charlotte, but she couldn't get hold of anyone. Her dad wasn't answering his mobile, neither was her brother or her mam. No-one was answering the home phone either - so eventually she rang her nanna's where she finally got hold of her mam.

2o minutes later, her dad turned up in her brothers car - at least we got to have a chat while we were waiting.

After dinner, I got on with some more uni work. I decided to try and tackle my Corporate Responsibility seminar - and that took a long time. I'm still not finished it but I need to keep the rest of my work for tomorrow when I don't have my laptop.

I've also managed to get some more detail on my Work and Organisation slides from this morning - which I'm very pleased about.

Later on I'm getting my hair cut - hopefully it will look nice after I had my hair dyed by James last night.

We're then going for a meal with James' Grandma and Grandad and Mam and Dad. I'm really looking forward to it! Don't know what to wear though!!

Valentines day pressie

Here are some pics of my gorgeous v-day card and pressie, although I did get a dvd as well i didn't take a pic of this.















The dvd i got was Rent - a rock opera musical. We watched it after a chinese takeaway. I cried twice at the film but I loved it, was brill!

Monday 16th Feb 09 - sleepy times

So today... I went to see my dissertation supervisor about my most recent chapter - methodology - but a fat lot of good that did me! She actually fell asleep at least 3 times in the meeting - it was very scary and worrying at the same time. Also quite hilarious, but you have to try not to laugh!

I wasn't quite sure what to do, but thankfully she just kept talking whilst falling asleep lol It was quite unbelieveable really - still can't quite believe that it was real.

Anyway - as a result of the meeting I now have to have my findings and analysis chapter done by 2nd March - gunna be hard but i think i'll manage it.

All this talking about sleep and work is making me sleepy! So ... sleepy times!
